General Information -
Lifting capacity is 500 lbs. (226 kg) -- powerful enough for driving pipe/casing or soil sampling with 140 lb. (63 kg) drive weight.
The motorized hoist is designed with a heavy duty split clamp for assembly on any 2-1/2” (63.5 mm) pipe.
An ideal cathead type hoisting drum for contractors, soil and rock mechanics, field engineers and others requiring simple drive type hoist.
A variety of other soil sampling tools are readily available from Acker for even greater versatility and usefulness.
Included in the Kit -
Motorized Cathead with Clamps, Aluminum Tripod Derrick, Tie Bolt and Bail, Tripod Sheave, 75 ft. of Manila Rope, and Safety Hook.
Motorized Cathead -
Lightweight, 5.5 horsepower, 4 cycle, gasoline engine featuring: automatic rewind, hand starter, muffler, air filter, throttle control, carry handles and foot rests.
The cathead is driven by sprockets and all chain drive enclosed by safety guard.
Engine operates at 3,600 RPM governed speed.

Cathead -
The cathead is 4-1/2” (114.3 mm) O.D. and rotates at 172 RPM -- lifting capacity is 500 lbs. (226 kg). Ideal for use with 140 (63 kg) or 300 lb. (136 kg) drive weights.
Please note: 300 lb. (136 kg) weight specific capabilities available with options.
Derrick -
The all aluminum tripod derrick is designed to accommodate hoisting tools in 10 ft. (3.05 m) lengths. The three aluminum legs are 16 ft. (4.8 m) long and designed with a mid-point bolted sleeve to permit handling and packing. The assembly includes the bolt and bail (less sleeve wheel).
Rated workload is 500 lbs. (226 kg).
